Creative Writing for Nonnative English Writers

The best way to improve writing fluency is to write consistently, but if English is not your first language it can be difficult to motivate yourself to practice. In this workshop we will approach writing as creative play. You will learn how to break through writer’s block and use the English you already have to produce original creative writing. The writing games and exercises will expose you to new vocabulary, increase your writing fluency, and help reduce any anxiety you may have when writing in English.

You are not expected to produce an original poem or story, but you may find that it happens anyway! No previous creative writing experience is required, but this workshop is best for intermediate to advanced English learners.
